I’ve tried to write in order to explain what this feels like, this moving back to the USA, and I can’t.Β There’s so much going through my head, and I find that I need to step away from the internet to process all of what I’m thinking and feeling.Β I hope that I’ll be able to come back here at some point, but for now, I need to say a temporary good-bye.
Thanks for reading, and check back with me later π
Jenny, sorry to see you go! But, can definitely understand the need to unplug sometimes. Hope you are settling in well in your new home. Sarah
I have enjoyed reading your blog for a couple of years now, I’m normally not one to make comments on blogs but I felt that I needed to say thank you for your regular commentary on NZ life and how you felt about it. I would love to hear your final thoughts now that you are back in the U.S. but only when you’re ready of course. I not sure if you saw this but if not I think you will find this of interest:

Hi Jenny, I will miss your posts, as I’ve been enjoying them ‘unofficially’, without introducing myself, for a while now. I am originally from Romania and have been living in Australia for a while (migrated here with my husband in 2001). Reading about your move back to the US, I’ve been thinking what it would be like for us to move back to Romania and I donβt think I could do it. Anyway, thanks for all your thoughts and beautiful writing and good luck with everything.
I will miss your blog, Jenny! All the best to you! Anna
I’ll miss your blog! I’ve gotten so much from your stories, baby suggestions and recipes. Can completely understand the need to step away, though. Good luck and hope you’ll be back if and when the time is right.
I’ll miss you but TOTALLY get it! I just looked back at my blog and it’s been a year + a day since I’ve blogged. I miss it terribly but either I don’t seem to have something of importance to say, I have too much to say and can’t focus my thoughts, or I have something to say but can’t find the time to post.
Hope all is going well for you in VA and hope to keep up with you via Facebook!
Take care! Thanks for all of your guidance for our move, I can’t express how helpful you were for me and my family, and I wish you best of luck for you and yours.
Take care of yourself and family! I enjoy reading and hope everyone is doing well and settling in comfortably. Will keep you saved in case you you do a comeback π
I’ll miss reading your blog – I loved reading your observations on life in NZ and was looking forward to reading how you and your lovely family were getting on in the US.
But I can certainly understand the need to step back for a while.
I hope all is well with you, your husband and your lovely boys.
Hopefully this is temporary. If not, I’ve enjoyed it all, and you’ll be missed here… but please come back. π
I will miss your posts, Jenny. I hope that having some space will help. The internet can definitely be a mixed blessing. I find on the one hand it helps me stay ‘connected’ with home but on the other it makes me feel like I am not fully present in my life over here. Stepping away for a while is probably the best thing for you right now!
All the best to you and your little family. God bless you!
