Two guys from Purdue University (my alma mater) are going to be on GMA tomorrow morning for what I think is a really nice reason. Why are they going to be on GMA? Because every Wednesday since the start of the school year, they stand outside Wetherhill from 12:30 – 2pm and yell compliments to passersby. Hence, they’ve earned the nickname “The Compliment Guys”.

If you look closely at the picture, it reads “Free Compliments (High-Fives Welcome!)”. Isn’t that cute? They said that they’re doing it for fun and because of the reactions that they get. Obviously, these guys are college students and have a lot more time on their hands than your average person, but doesn’t that sound nice? Kind of weird, but nice! Considering all of the bad news that we keep hearing lately, it’s great to read about people who are doing what they can to put others in a positive mood 🙂
Here’s a video of them from the Chicago Tribune, in case you’re interested!
That is so cool that they are doing that!
Thats fantastic! I always see the people with signs that say "Free Hug" & I'll always go up to them…
And who couldnt use a compliment!!! It'll be nice to see some good news on TV for once!
What a nice thing to do 🙂
Ha Ha Ha! That’s awesome!
